MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, April 24 (PIA) -- The city government, through the City Health Office (CHO), is further enhancing its healthcare delivery system in order to improve the health status of its residents.
Dr. Faisal Idris, officer-in-charge of the CHO, said several health facility projects are on-going to ensure the availability and accessibility of health services.
“These include the construction of P13-million Marawi City Hospital in Barangay Bito Buadi Itowa and the creation of CHO-satellite offices in four distant barangays of the city,” he said.
According to him, the satellite offices are to be constructed in Barangays Timbangalan, Kapantaran, Amito, and Cabingan with an estimated budget of P3 million each.
Idris further said that the CHO has also implemented various initiatives responsive to the health needs of its people.
He said the initiatives involve the mobilization of the community, the academe, and religious leaders as partners in healthcare delivery.
“We have also successfully build alliance with multi-sector partners for TB control, as well as, strengthened ties with the private sector in order for us to reach more constituents,” he added
