Series of investment meetings have taken place as local and foreign investors expressed interest in the field of agricultural expansion.

Earlier, regional officials graced the launching of the P579-million worth banana expansion project of Del Monte Phil. in Datu Abdullah Sangki, Maguindanao province which would generate at least 3,000 local jobs.

Investment mogul John Perrine of Uni-Frutti Inc. has likewise visited Talayan municipality for a proposed banana expansion and palm oil processing in the area.

Hataman said the inflow of foreign and local investments signals the strengthening of the regional economy. This is a proof that investors have trust and confidence in the investment potential of the region, he added

In line with this, an investment forum is set to be staged on November 24 as part of the month-long celebration. The forum will carry the theme: Philippine-Malaysia Investments: Fostering Sustainable Development in Muslim Mindanao.
