MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--The local government unit of Marawi is grateful to Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) and its implementing agencies for projects that address the health care needs of its residents.
City Mayor Majul Gandamra expressed his gratitude during the inauguration of the Rorogagus Barangay Health Station (BHS) on Wednesday, June 23, citing the importance of health facilities in the recovery of the city and its people.
“I would like to thank our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the different line agencies of the government na nagtulong-tulong nang sa ganun lahat ng proyekto para sa rehabilitasyon ng Marawi ay marealize natin. Of course, we would like to thank our chairman of the TFBM dahil nandito po siya palagi para subaybayan ang pag-iimplementa ng lahat ng mga projects sa Marawi City at isa na dito itong ating ininaugurate sa araw na ito,” he said.
[I would like to thank our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the different line agencies of the government who worked together so that we can realize all the projects for the rehabilitation of Marawi. Of course, we would like to thank our chairman of the TFBM because he is always here to monitor the implementation of all projects in Marawi City and this [project] that we inaugurated today is one of them.]
Located in Rorogagus East, the Rorogagus BHS is the first health facility inaugurated among the 23 BHS projects that will be constructed outside Marawi’s ground zero under the Marawi Recovery, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program with the Bangsamoro government’s Ministry of Health as the implementing agency.
“Nagpapasalamat kami dahil sa mabilis na pag-implement ng ating Ministry of Health at LGU Marawi [we are thankful for the speedy implementation of the Ministry of Health and LGU Marawi],” said city health officer Dr. Ali Dalidig.
Amidst the pandemic, Dalidig sees the facility as a big boost to the City Health Office which has been offering free medical services in the Rorogagus area every Friday under the program MUGserbisyo sa Barangay. (APB/PIA Lanao del Sur)
