MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, Feb. 07 (PIA) --- The Marawi City Police Station is now conducting an in-depth investigation on the shooting incident that took the life of an unidentified person.
Police Inspector Glen Elevera disclosed that the incident happened at about 11:50 a.m. today, Feb. 7, at Maruhom Street., Barangay Panggao Saduc, this city.
He said the victim was shot to death while he was on board his gray Isuzu Hilander bearing Plate No. WEZ-898.
Based on the police spot report, the vehicle came from the city proper but upon reaching the corner of Mapandi and Maruhom Streets, one of the suspects allegedly directed the victim to transfer to the passenger side in the front seat of the vehicle.
After few meters, the unidentified suspects shot the victim hitting different parts of his body with the use of a caliber .45 pistol per evidence of empty shells recovered from the crime scene and together burned the vehicle with the victim still inside, the report said.
The suspects then fled away to unknown direction on board a black XRM motorcycle color, the report further stated.
The police is still on the process of ascertaining the motive behind the incident and identifying the victim and the suspects for filing of appropriate charges in court. (Apipa Bagumbaran/PIA 10 Marawi)
