MARAWI CITY, Feb. 6 (PIA) -- The Philippines has identified 30 pilot sites for the computer telecenters in the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
This after the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Working Group for the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines–East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) identified three major projects to be included in the BIMP-EAGA Implementation Blueprint (IB) for 2012-2016.
These include the ICT Rural Outreach Program (iROP), BIMP-EAGA Rink (Submarine Cable), and Intelligent Clearance Identification (iClid), projects anchored on technological advancements highlighted during the Strategic Planning for 2012 chaired by Hajah Airah Haji Abdullah, Acting Director of Communications, Ministry of Communications-Brunei Darussalam.
Each pilot site is expected to have 20 computers.
