MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, Feb. 21 (PIA) -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) here is set to conduct a province-wide technical-vocational educational and training (TVET) and industry forum next week.
TESDA Provincial Director Tarhata S. Mapandi said the forum will be held on Monday, Feb. 27, at the social hall of the provincial capitol, Marawi City.
She said the forum, which aims to ensure that the manpower development in the province is consistent with the industry needs will not only gather TESDA-registered technical-vocational institutions but also managers of key industries and national line agencies in the province.
Accordingly, constructive dialogue on the current labor market situation, possible labor demand and manpower requirements of the industries, and advancement of the technical-vocational education will be tackled during the forum.
Mapandi added that TESDA will also unveil its TVET programs and accomplishments during the forum.
