MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, Jan. 6 (PIA) --- The Marawi
Broadcasters Association (MBA) will conduct a seminar on Basic Broadcast
Journalism on January 11, 2016 at the Mamitua Saber Research Center in Mindanao
State University (MSU) Main Campus, Marawi city.
Dr. Minalang Barapantao, former station manager of Radyo ng
Bayan Marawi, will discuss the role of broadcasters and the journalist code of
ethics while Provincial Prosecutor Atty. Basari Mapupuno will talk about press
freedom and the law on libel.
Prof. Sorhayla Latiph-Yusoph, MSU Communications and Media
Studies chairperson, will handle conflict-sensitve reportage.
MBA President Bae Shora Sarigala said the seminar is open to
all MBA members and block timers in the province.
The registration fee is P300 per block-timer participant and
