MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, Feb. 3 (PIA) --- The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) is reminding the public to avoid unhealthy and sedentary lifestyle to reduce their chance of heart disease.
Practcing healthy lifestyle, quitting smoking, eating healthy diet, and exercising regularly can have significant impact on preventing heart disease, said IPHO Chief Dr. Alinader Minalang.
He said heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the country and known as a silent killer since a lot of people develop the disease without them knowing it.
It can affect anybody thus it is important that the public know how to prevent this even at an early age, he added.
Minalang said regular consultation with physicians or even with health workers in Rural Health Units is also essential in keeping one’s heart healthy. (APB/PIA-10)
