The new president of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Lanao del Sur has sincerely promised to carry on the legacy started by the previous administration, which was the ‘Boses ng Kabataang Meranaw’ (Voice of Meranaw Youth) campaign.
Abdulmalik Adiong III officially succeeded the position of outgoing SK Federation President Jamil Faisal Adiong, who pushed for transformative youth programs during his five-year stint.
Following his assumption, new SK President Adiong thanked those who supported his leadership.
He stated that while this would be an opportunity to give him privileges, he would still treat this as one that would bestow a great responsibility.
With the opening of a new chapter for the youth council, new SK President Adiong guaranteed the continuation of encouraging initiatives incorporated in a recently approved Ranaw Youth Development Plan 2023-2025 and their links with various partner stakeholders.
“Thank you for trusting me to lead the Pederasyon (federation). I commit to work with the line agencies, youth organizations and development partners in line with youth participation in the coming years to sustain and preserve the gains of the previous administration,” he said.
Looking forward to his three-year governance, new SK President Adiong vows to uphold his responsibilities and mandates.
“Asahan niyong gagampanan ko ang aking trabaho nang buong puso at sa abot ng aking makakaya. Ang tagumpay ko ay tagumpay nating lahat, at sa atin ipagpapatuloy ang pagpapalakas ng boses ng kabataang Meranaw,” he said.
(Be assured that I will perform my job with all my heart and might. My victory is the victory of all, and with us, we can continue amplifying the voice of Meranaw youth.) (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
