MARAWI CITY -- The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Police Regional Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), turned over patrol cars and firearms to Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO) and its units to fortify the operational capabilities of the province's police force.
PBGen. Allan C Nobleza, regional director of PRO-BAR, led the turnover ceremony at the LDSPPO headquarters in Camp Amai Bagong Pakpak, Marawi City, on February 13.
Provincial Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr. gratefully received the new police resources, comprising 21 units of patrol jeeps (Toyota Hilux Single Cab 4x2), 94 basic assault rifles, 21,345 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and 31 raincoats.
In his message, Adiong acknowledged the PNP national headquarters' timely issuance of the police resources. He highlighted that these resources would significantly enhance the mobility and firepower of the province's police force.
PBGen Nobleza, in turn, acknowledged the LGU's indispensable role in facilitating the assistance. He also emphasized the importance of designating official drivers and proper maintenance of patrol cars to prevent premature deterioration, urging the Chiefs of Police to ensure adherence.
LDSPPO Provincial Director PCol. Robert Daculan meanwhile extended gratitude to PRO-BAR and LGUs for their unwavering support to LDSPPO.
He said the initiative aims to fortify law enforcement efforts and ensure a more effective police presence in the province.
Daculan further disclosed that the patrol cars would be strategically distributed to various Municipal Police Stations (MPS) across the province, reinforcing their operational capabilities in responding to incidents and emergencies.
Identified MPS recipients include Amai Manabilang, Bacolod Kalawi, Binidayan, Buadipuso Buntong, Bubong, Calanogas, Kapai, Kapatagan, Lumbaca Unayan, Lumbatan, Lumbayanague, Maguing, Piagapo, Picong, Pualas, Poona Bayabao, Sultan Dumalondong, Tagoloan, Taraka, Tubaran, and Tugaya.
