Marantao, Lanao del Sur (1 September) -- The Provincial Police is now conducting a hot pursuit operation against the suspect who shot two (2) mechanics, Monday morning, in Lima ka Lokes of barangay Pantar Cawayan, this town.
The victims were identified by the police as Oding H. Gaffor, 30 years old, married, auto mechanic and Osop Dianal, 30 years old, married, helper mechanic.
The victims were residents of barangay Raya Saduc and barangay Saduc in Marawi City, said Police Provincial Director Superintendent Cosanie M. Derogongan.
He said the motive of the shooting is believed to be a personal grudge.
Initial investigation conducted by the police disclosed that the suspect was allegedly not satisfied with the job performed by the mechanics on his vehicle.
Derogongan said the suspect allegedly made a partial payment of unknown amount to the victim-mechanics and he invited them to accompany him to Lima ka Lokes to give the full payment of the repair there.
Upon reaching the area, the suspect draws his Cal.45 pistol and without any provocation shot the victims, he added.
Gaffor sustained one (1) gunshot wound in his head while Dianal sustained another gunshot wound in his left thigh.
According to Derogongan, both victims were immediately brought to Amai Pakpak Medical Center for medical treatment.
