Islamic City of Marawi (31 August) -- The brave soldiers of the 103rd (HARIBON) Infantry Brigade staged an army show in celebration of this year's National Heroes Day.
The act showcased military capabilities in combating terrorists to protect the people and the country.
Brigadier General Rey C, Ardo, 103Bde commanding officer, said it is important to remember the patriotism and bravery of our national heroes.
"We have to remember the heroism of our heroes who offered their lives for the freedom of the country," he said.
Ardo cited that heroism can be achieved by serving the country unselfishly.
He said the dedication and unwavering service of soldiers who risk their lives to protect the country is likewise heroic.
The Haribon commanding officer also stressed that the military will always fulfill its mandate to protect the people and the country.
National Heroes Day is celebrated every last Sunday of August to commemorate the 'Cry of Pugad Lawin' or the fight for the country's independence from Spain by Filipino revolutionaries.
