Islamic City of Marawi (08 August) --- The Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LSPPO) scored anew in its fight against criminality after it arrested a minor drug carrier at Ditsaan Ramain town, this province.
While conducting mobile checkpoint, the police apprehended Alinor Raosan, 14 years old, and a resident of Balo-i, Lanao del Norte for violating Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
According to Police Superintendent Cosanie M. Derogongan, officer-in-charge of the LSPPO, said person was arrested after thirty-one (31) heat-sealed plastic sachets of white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu and some aluminum foils enclosed in a small transparent plastic box was found in his possession and control.
Derogongan said the arrested minor is presently detained at the Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) pending turnover to the DSWD for proper disposition while the confiscated items were kept at the LSPPO evidence room for documentation and investigation.
He further said that they are preparing the necessary documents for the filing of appropriate charges in court.
