Islamic City of Marawi (2 August) -- In its bid to curb the spread of dengue, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension of the Mindanao State University (MSU) led the launching of an anti-dengue campaign dubbed as Never on Waste-Drive Against Dengue or NOW DAD!.
NOW DAD is an environmental and health advocacy campaign aimed at creating wider awareness on how to prevent the spread of dengue through environmental management.
During the launching, environmental and health experts discussed the impact of climate change and solid waste management on health as well as dengue prevention and control.
The campaign was launched in partnership with the university's College of Forestry and Environmental Studies and College of Health Sciences, the Integrated Provincial Health Office, City Health Office and the Rajah Indarapatra Lodge 387.
