Marantao, Lanao del Sur (14 August) -- Elements of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LSPPO) led by Police Superintendent Cosanie M. Derogongan arrested yesterday the most wanted person in this town.
He said the arrested suspect was identified as Madid Guro Mangacop, 34 years old, and a resident of brgy. Pagalungan-Bacayawan of this town.
According to Derogongan, Mangacop was allegedly the suspect for the murder of Mila Clarido Vilchez whose cadaver was recovered on July 29 at brgy. Bacayawan.
He said Mangacop, who is also a suspected drug pusher, was arrested in brgy. Bacayawan Proper.
The police chief further disclosed that the suspect has a standing warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court of this province, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 8 for murder with crime case number 5929-08.
Derogongan added that the suspect is now detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Marawi city.
