Islamic City of Marawi (5 August) -- The Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LSPPO) will strengthen its visibility by conducting intensified checkpoints operations to foil any criminal incidence that may worsen the peace and order situation in the province.
"One of the security measures to decrease crime incidents in the province is to conduct checkpoint operations in strategic locations. With this, criminals can be kept from freely moving within the province," Police Superintendent Cosanie M. Derogongan stressed.
He hoped that with the establishments of police checkpoints in strategic places, robberies, gambling, illegal drugs, and other crimes in the province will be prevented.
Derogongan further disclosed that he requested for a regional mobile group to be deployed here to augment and boost the police force in the province.
The acting provincial police director likewise called on the active involvement of the public in the campaign against criminality by being vigilant in reporting illegal and suspicious.
"The public can report suspicious activities to our hotline 0908-8971-925," he added.
