MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The Department of Social Welfare and Development started releasing the unclaimed 53,000 Transitory Family Support Package (TFSP) to displaced families in the most affected area of this city.
A total of 40 internally displaced persons (IDPs) were not able to claim the TFSP during the distribution held on April 6 to May 24, 2019 at the Lanao del Sur Provincial Capitol Gymnasium.
The head of the family will be the one to claim the said assistance. When the head of the family is not present, his/her spouse or eldest child (at least 18 years old) can represent him during the distribution as long as they are on the Kathanor (IDP profiling) database.
Martesha Maive Veloso, information officer of Disaster Response Management Division Management of DSWD Field Office 10 urged the beneficiaries to utilize and maximize the TFSP they received for a better life.
“Para sa beneficiaries, sana gamitin nila sa tama iyong natanggap na pera lalong-lalo na may pandemic. [To the beneficiaries, they should utilize well the assistance they received especially with this pandemic.] They can start any business, to suppport their family,” she said.
During the distribution, the claimants should present an original photocopy of two government-issued IDs or one government-issued ID and one secondary ID.
Accepted government-issued IDs are passport, driver’s license, SSS-UMID, GSIS e-card, Postal ID, PRC ID, IBP ID, OWWA ID, OFW ID, Seaman’s Book, Senior Citizen’s ID, 4Ps ID, TIN ID, PWD ID, Philhealth ID, Solo Parent ID, Voter's ID or any other government-issued ID with complete name, picture, and address.
Meanwhile, secondary IDs include, PSA authenticated Birth Certificate, NBI Clearance, Police Clearance, Barangay Clearance, and any other issued documents with name and complete address.
The distribution of this unclaimed TFSP took place at Task Force Bangon Marawi Field Office and will be held until September 29.
Furthermore, DSWD is also validating beneficiaries of the additional Php10,000 worth of Livelihood Settlement Grant (LSG) through Starpay to families from the less affected area (LAA) of the city.
