Islamic City of Marawi (2 July) -- Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) chair Jesus Dureza expressed optimism that the abduction incident of Nuraldin Yusoph will end soon.
Yusoph, son of Commissioner Elias Yusoph was abducted by unidentified men last June 20 after he walked out of a mosque near their house this city.
"We have reached out to all sectors so the gauntlet is narrowing already," he said in a media briefing today.
Dureza also urged everybody to be patient.
Incidents like this, he said, takes a lot of hard work and a mixture of soft approach, pressure operations, dialoguing and opening up of communication lines.
The MinDA chief stressed that their effort will not end at the safe recovery of Yusoph.
Our effort is for the safe rescue of the kidnap victim, however, it should not end with his safe return, he stressed.
He said the application of the rule of law should be applied so that there will be no level of impunity.
Whoever is responsible should be prosecuted, he further said.
