MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur --After undergoing the Start-up 101 workshop organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology - Mindanao Cluster 3 (DICT MC3), participants now have the vision to craft innovative ideas that will help the City to be progressive.
Lucman Abdulrachman, one of the participants, said that he will be using the ideas he learned from the workshop for the development of the City.
Abdulrachman is also an instructor of the College of Information and Computing Science of Mindanao State University-Main Campus. He hopes that he will be able to guide the students to convert their ideas into reality.
“Malaking maitutulong nito sa akin kasi meron silang mashare na mga bagong [This will help me a lot because they shared many] things that could help me in decision making, in making my own startup and guiding the students as well for them to start their start-up as well,” he said.
Abdulrachman also conveyed gratitude to DICT for the opportunity given to them.
“This is a good opportunity to educate the people, especially the young students para makabuild ng [to build] start-ups. I’m looking forward for this para sa magandang future na maibibigay sa Marawi [for the bright future of Marawi,” he said.
On the other hand, Appogel Cagoco who is a Computer Science student was elated to be part of the workshop as he has learned a lot.
“This workshop helped me think of an idea that is unique and viable where I can be able to help the community,” he said. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Sur)
