MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--A total of 450 teachers from the City Schools Division of Marawi (CSDM) are ready to serve as members of electoral boards (EBs) come May 9 elections.
This was disclosed by City Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto during the final testing and sealing of vote-counting machines Thursday, May 5.
She guaranteed that these teachers will religiously perform their election duties.
In response to the reminder of the City Election Officer that EBs should be trained public school teachers, the SDS assured that their teachers are all trained, equipped, and capable of letting honest, peaceful, and orderly elections prevail.
Alonto also conveyed her thanks to the teachers for carrying out their duties for orderly elections every three years. She further urged them to work together with election and security officers.
"Sana magtulungan tayo ngayong May 9 at itaguyod natin ang isang peaceful elections at sana matapos na walang masamang mangyari sa ating lahat [Let's work together this May 9 and promote a peaceful elections and hope that nothing bad will happen to all of us]," she added. (APB/PIA Lanao del Sur)
