MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--Cooperatives who joined the second round of Kawiyagan this month expressed their gratefulness as they got to experience the event’s benefits which included boosting of their livelihood with the chance to participate in the trade fair and receive assistance from humanitarian organizations.
Spearheaded for three days beginning March 27 until 29 this year, around 28 cooperatives and 37 vendors displayed and sold their products to the public.
Raima Macadato of the cooperative named Ompongan a mga Bae Shakba from the municipality of Ditsa-an Ramain in the province of Lanao del Sur shared that they enjoyed such an effort as they had more experiences.
[We are very happy for this kind of opportunity because we experienced how it is to sell here, getting together with our fellow cooperatives and we even received assistance from Save the Children… Alhamdulillah because at least, the members that participated here will get their share as we divide [what we got] and this is already a big help to us.]
Salam Mulay, the president of Riwatan Sinagtala Cooperative from this city, was also glad for the aid that was extended by the sponsors, saying this would be significant to them considering they are just starting entrepreneurs.
[I am thankful for what Raheemah and other agencies have given us because this is a help for us… This is a big [help] because like us who are just starting, we can make many out of what they gave us.]
As much as they were delighted for the blessings bestowed upon them through the Kawiyagan, the cooperatives likewise hoped that such an event would not be the end for the assistance they see beneficial on their end.
[To all sponsors, I hope you do not get weary in helping us, your fellowmen who are Muslims. If there is still more assistance, I hope you do not forget us here.] (CRG/PIA-Lanao del Sur)
