MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--The Marawi City Schools Division (MCSD) debunked misconceptions about Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track as they continuously intensify their call for additional enrollees.
MCSD Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Sobaida Diron Ampuan shared that others interpret being enrolled in TVL as something that will preempt them from being admitted to a four-year program in college.
With this, she stressed that the information is not true as TVL graduates can still go to college with any program of their choice.
Ampuan stated that the TVL is existing to sharpen the skills of every pupil. “Our TVL courses are designed to develop the skills of our learners at pwede naman sila mag-enroll sa four-year course kung kukuha sila ng ating [and they can enroll in a four-year course if they enroll in our] TVL courses,” she said during the Job Fair for Senior High School completers organized by Task Force Bangon Marawi in partnership with the city government of Marawi and Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP).
Accordingly, the TVL here currently offers bread and pastry, cookery, and information and communications technology-NC II, among others.
Backing this track are particular partners such as the BSP which provided equipment for bread and pastry.
Publicizing their call, Ampuan underscored that TVL learners get the advantage of venturing into a new journey if one does not opt to pursue college programs yet.
“Inaaanyayahan namin ang ating learners na mag-enrol kayo sa TVL courses. Maganda iyon. Right after na makagraduate kayo ng TVL, pwede kayo gumawa ng inyong business enterprises na pwede niyong pagkakitaan kung hindi kayo tutuntong sa college. Makakatulong sa inyo ang ating TVL courses,” she said.
[We are inviting our learners to enroll in TVL courses. This is wonderful. Right after you graduate from TVL, you can have your own business enterprises which may become your source of income if you do not go to college yet. Our TVL courses can help you a lot.] (CRG/PIA-Lanao del Sur)
