This was disclosed by Forester Nourodin Moti of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office during the second semester meeting of the Provincial Development Council.
He said these are the municipalities of Amai Manabilang, Buadipuso Buntong, Bubong, Maguing, Lumba Bayabao, Piagapo, Saguiaran, Tamparan, Taraka, and Wao in the first district and the municipalities of Bacolod Kalawi, Balindong, Pagayawan, Calanogas and Kapatagan in the second district.
Moti also shared that the SWMPs of another 11 LGUs are currently waiting for deliberation. These are the SWMP of Marawi City and the municipalities of Marantao, Mulondo, Tagoloan II, Binidayan, Balabagan, Butig, Lumbatan, Madalum, Madamba, and Pualas.
Under Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act, every LGU is required to develop a 10-year SWMP for the effective and efficient management of their solid wastes. (APB/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
