MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)-- Twenty-one Rural Health Units (RHUs) here in the province are the priority recipients of the RxBox telehealth devices from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
The RxBoxes were recently turned over to the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) followed by a demonstration on how to use the equipment.
IPHO Chief Dr. Alinader Minalang said the RxBox is a telemedicine device capable of capturing medical signals through built-in medical sensors, storing data in an electronic medical record, and transmitting health information via the internet to a clinical specialist.
"In other words, it can help fast track and improve the quality of health services provided in an RHU setting," he said.
Minalang is grateful to the MOST for the telehealth devices and to the Ministry of Health for the support extended to IPHO and RHUs. (APB/PIA Lanao del Sur)
