MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The City Schools Division of Marawi (CSDM) guaranteed the public that almost all of its teachers are already fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease (COVID)-19.

During the recent coordination meeting for the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in schools,  the division updated that at least 1,057 or 93.29% out of 1,133 teaching personnel were inoculated while all 74 or 100% of its non-teaching staff likewise received complete jabs.

Following this, CSDM Superintendent Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto firmly guaranteed that they are following the set guidelines to be allowed to push for face-to-face classes.

She stated that it is in this manner that they can also secure the health situation of everyone personally going to school.

“We would like to assure the parents na lahat ng aming paaralan sa [all our schools under the] Marawi City Schools Division are compliant with the guidelines and requisites for the opening of our schools. Lahat kami ay [We are all] prepared with regards to the sanitary and health protocols of the IATF,” said Alonto.

Emphasizing the readiness of the CSDM, the superintendent urged parents to enroll their children for the upcoming school year 2022-2023 which shall already adopt the in-person mode of learning.

She further underscored that they are eyeing as well the immunization of learners for their strong health protection.

“We look forward na ang kanilang mga mag-aaral ay papaasukin na nila ngayong school year na ito dahil [that students will already enroll in this coming school year because] I assure them na lahat ay magiging [that all will be] safe. We also look forward sa aming mga mag-aaral na mavaccinate [to having our learners be vaccinated]. We are into the pipeline already with the City Health Office for the vaccination of our learners by district,” said Alonto. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
