MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The international humanitarian organization World Vision Philippines is continuing its support to the city government here in pursuit of achieving improved healthcare services for all the needing citizens, especially the children.
Strengthening, even more, this mission, the child-focused organization handed over new set of nutrition equipment to the City Health Office (CHO) Monday, October 3, for the utilization of five particular villages which were having the highest malnutrition data, to wit, Barangays Cadayonan 1 and 2, Malimono, Rapasun and Tuca Ambolong.
World Vision Philippines Project Manager Adonis Casinillo shared that this initiative was part of their implementation of the Urban Child Protection and Participation Project (UCPPP) which has been running for nearly a year already and is bound to be extended for its second year.
He stated that as they maintain this aid, they likewise target to strengthen further their connection with the health sector in the city to give additional advantages to the whole locality.
“All those things are intended for the promotion of the constituents’ access to better health services. Ang pakikipag-ugnayan namin ay isang bagay na [Our collaboration is on thing that] we will elaborate further kasi gusto namin na lahat ng constituents ay makakabenefit [because we want that all constituents will benefit],” he said.
Obtaining the beneficial equipment, the city government expressed their gratitude to World Vision Philippines which, accordingly, has been helping them since the eruption of the siege in 2017 and followed by the coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 pandemic.

“Kami ay nagpapasalamat sa World Vision kasi sa mga programa namin, palagi namin silang katuwang sa pagbibigay serbisyo sa ating 96 barangays sa Marawi City,” said City Councilor Dr. Princess Pala Amera Gandamra.
[We are thankful to World Vision because, in our programs, they have been there as we give service to our 96 barangays in Marawi City.]
