MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur-- During the Network Briefing News with Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, city mayor Majul Gandamra emphasized their strong partnership and coordination with the government in the rehabilitation of the City.
“Sa ngayon po ay talagang malakas ang ating ugnayan [We have a strong coordination] with the different line agencies of the government, who are tasked to, of course, implement the different interventions of the government,” he said.
Gandamra also affirmed the statement of Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) chairperson Sec. Eduardo del Rosario that the rehabilitation is on track.
With the full blast construction of various public infrastructures inside the most affected area, numerous projects have been completed.
The mayor is also optimistic that the projects will be completed before the end of the term of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
“Lahat ng mga [All of the] projects which were promised or committed by the government to be implemented ay matatapos siya [will be completed] even before the end of the term of our beloved president, Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte,” he said.
Highlighting the efforts of the local government unit, Gandamra also shared that they partnered with some government instrumentalities to construct a big market outside MAA which has accommodated displaced business sectors. Also, a transport terminal was inaugurated.
TFBM is also set to unveil the newly repaired Grand Mosque in MAA this month. The construction of the barangay complex in Raya Madaya 1 will also be inaugurated. (LELA/PIA Lanao del Sur)
