MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The provincial government, through the Office of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation President Jamil Faisal “Jeff” Adiong celebrated the Linggo ng Kabataan with various activities actively participated by the youth.
With the theme "Ranaw Youth: Remembering the Past to Weave Communities in the Present and Make Waves in the Future," the activities lined up included mural painting (Aug.5-8); 3rd Ranaw Youth Organization's Summit (Aug. 9-11); Khat Calligraphy, Adhan and Qur-an Reading Competitions (Aug. 12); Quiz Show (Aug. 15); and 1st Ranaw Youth Debate Tournament (Aug. 15-19), among others.
Still observing the minimum public health standards and further urging engagement of the youth amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the provincial government will also conduct an inter-LGU Cultural Performance Competition on Aug. 27.
The 4th Datu a Bantugen sa Ranaw will likewise kick off on Aug. 20 while its culmination program will be held on Aug. 28.
Adiong said the Datu a Bantugen sa Ranaw is an inter-LGU pageant competition among young male tourism and culture ambassadors who will be showcasing their respective towns' richness in history, values, and heritage through advocacy.
The SK Federation President further disclosed that they will also push for the convergence of Ranaw youth partners in September wherein his Office will present the Youth Development Plan 2022-2025 to all their partners and potential partners. (APB/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
