MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The World Vision Philippines has firmly underscored that it would remain committed to pursuing the advocacy for the protection of children in communities here.
“Kami sa World Vision, basta pag-usapan ang mga bata ay nandoon ang aming full support. Basta well-being ng bata, si World Vision ay full support,” said World Vision Development Foundation Mindanao Field Office Manager Elizabeth Delgado.

As part of their intensified drive of safeguarding the right of children to protection, the organization recently spearheaded a Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) Summit wherein 96 barangays of Marawi were gathered to once again be refreshed on the legality behind the organization of such a structure.
World Vision Development Foundation Child Protection Manager Jezreel Hannah Domingo stressed that as her organization maintains its implementation of the Urban Child Protection and Participation Project in the city, they would likewise push for interventions to further strengthen the output of the participating villages in the BCPC summit.
“This activity of coming together for a BCPC summit is a manifestation of our commitment to the children. Our hope and prayer is that all of us will work together to prevent and respond to any form of violence against the children of Marawi,” she said.
Delgado also called for unity among officials in the barangay up to the city level to bring realization to what they intend to achieve.
“Kahit anong programa ang ibibigay namin sa mga kabataan sa ating barangay, kung walang suporta ng bawat isa ay hindi ito magiging successful,” she said.
