[We are ready. We started with the tracking of learners who can go to school. Also, our schools underwent simulation and we just have to continue with the minimum health protocols for the arrival of our students this August 22.]
Alonto said 13 schools in the city participated in the limited face-to-face classes and have already undergone the strict safety and readiness assessment.
Recognizing the challenges continually posed by the pandemic, Alonto said they will gradually implement the transition from a blended learning modality to five days of in-person classes from August 22 to October 31.
The 100% face-to-face classes will be executed in November.
"We will be doing it gradually. It would be in two forms, three (3) days ang pasukan [in-person classes] while the rest of the week or two (2) days [classes] will be in the comfort of their homes since it is still blended learning," she said.
The SDS also gave her assurance that teaching and non-teaching personnel who will be directly involved in the conduct of face-to-face classes are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
She said vaccination was conducted in schools along with their feeding program rollout, the recent was held in Bangon Elementary School last week.
The Division, through the different school heads, also continues its campaign to encourage those who have not yet been vaccinated to have themselves inoculated.
