MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) is planning to put up Halal Agro-Industrial Hubs to help push the country's halal industry forward and boost its bid for a share of the world halal market.
"Umiikot tayo ngayon sa buong Pilipinas upang himukin ang tao na suportahan ang halal agro-industrial hubs. We will be putting up halal agro-industrial hubs in strategic regions of the country, isa na dito ang Lanao del Sur," said NCMF Secretary Guiling Mamondiong.

Speaking at a regional stakeholders consultation on Tuesday, August 16, Mamondiong said the Commission needs the support of its stakeholders to realize the plan. "Kaya kailangan namin yung tulong ninyo, yung ideas ninyo [so we need your help, your ideas]," he further said.
NCMF is holding a series of regional stakeholders consultations to generate support for its socio-economic, socio-cultural, and social protection programs, as well as identify possible collaborations with key stakeholders. (APB/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
