Islamic City of Marawi (22 October) --- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) here is urging registered voters in the city to exercise their right to suffrage in the synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) polls.
We are encouraging them to go out and vote on October 25 and become catalysts in leading their barangays forward, said City Election Officer Atty. Tommy Macadindang.
He also asked them to come to the designated polling places early on Monday.
According to Macadindang, the casting of votes will start promptly at seven o'clock in the morning and will end at three o'clock in the afternoon.
The counting and canvassing of votes, which will follow immediately after the casting of votes, will be conducted in the polling places unless there are security concerns involved, he added.
He also appealed to them to be vigilant and report cases of prohibited acts and elections violations to proper authorities.
Marawi City has more than 66,000 registered voters with barangay Dimalna having the most number of registered voters at 3,100.
