63rd anniv of Lanao Sur showcases local products of 16 coops

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Just as the 63rd Araw ng Lanao del Sur goes on as a month-long celebration of the province of its founding anniversary, the provincial government gathered together at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium roughly 16 cooperatives to showcase and market their various local products such as food and spices, among others.

Provincial Cooperatives Officer Ashadie Alonto shared that the administration here highlighted two main objectives of pushing this initiative.

He said they wanted to have an updated inventory of all products existing all over the province while also bringing the cooperatives closer to the line agencies which can assist them in terms of product development and halal certification.

This, noting that at the time of the exhibit of cooperatives, a caravan featuring government line agencies was likewise held at the same place.

“[Ito ay] para naman ang coops natin within Lanao del Sur ay pwede ng mailabas, maipagmalaki, at maidisplay sa malls,” said Alonto

[This is to give an opportunity to our coops within Lanao del Sur to market, make proud of, and display them in malls.]

The coop officer expressed the commitment of the provincial government to fully support the cooperatives by pursuing more seminars and services for product development and other benefits.

He also urged the public to give favor to local products to help them rise.

“Sana tangkilikin natin ang local products tulad ng products ng cooperatives dito kasi may potential po talaga,” said Alonto.

[I hope we support the local products of the cooperatives because these really have potential.]
