MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)—The PhilHealth Regional Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) reminded its members that it is offering a COVID-19 home isolation benefit package (CHIBP) to those asymptomatic or with mild COVID-19 symptoms.
In a virtual Kapihan with Media, Abdulhamid Galman of PRO-BAR’s Public Affairs Unit said CHIBP is available for those who were found positive for coronavirus through the RT-PCR test and has passed the social criteria for home isolation
These criteria include having a separate isolation room with good airflow for ventilation, a trash bin, and a toilet.
Galman said the services included in the package are consultation; monitoring of patient; provision of a home isolation kit containing 1L 70 percent alcohol, five pieces face mask, 1 thermometer, 1 pulse oximeter, and selected drugs and medicines; as well as referral to high-level health facilities, if needed.
“Ang bilang ng araw ng pag-isolate ay depende kung ang pasyente ay isang health care worker o hindi at sa kanyang vaccination status,” he further said.
[The number of isolation days depends on whether the patient is a health care worker or not and also his vaccination status.]
For health workers, the isolation will be 10 days if unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, seven days if fully vaccinated, and only five days if boosted. Non-health care workers, on the other hand, should be isolated for 10 days if partially vaccinated or not yet vaccinated and seven days for both fully vaccinated and have received the booster shot.
Meanwhile, PRO-BAR Regional Vice President Datu Masiding Alonto Jr. stressed the need to remind PhilHealth members of this benefit package as Covid-19 cases are now hiking up in some parts of the country.
For the Lanao del Sur area, the PRO-BAR disclosed that so far they have not yet received any CHIBP claim application. (APB/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
