MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Noting the rehabilitation efforts implemented to advance the betterment of the city after the 2017 siege, the local government unit (LGU) here extended its profound gratitude to the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM), its implementing government agencies, and the humanitarian and development organizations for continuously backing the rebuilding of the most affected area through pursuing their respective initiatives.

Mayor Majul Gandamra commended the stellar performance of the TFBM and personally delivered his gratitude to TFBM Field Office Manager Felix Castro Jr. for willingly and voluntarily carrying on his duties despite having no clear setup yet of the task force and the rehabilitation program.

“Maraming salamat sa inyong paglilingkod dito sa [Thank you so much for your service here in] Marawi City and looking forward to further collaboration,” he said.

Gandamra also expressed his optimism to the development partners and line agencies as he looked forward that their collaboration would still go on as the city government is always open to suggestions that could further improve the lives of his constituents and the city.

He conveyed to them that notwithstanding the nearing end of the rehabilitation program, no working relationship would be concluded as the turnover of projects is still to be done, and everyone would still be welcome to raise recommendations to the city government to further pave the progress for the locality here.

“This is the high time to strengthen our collaborative effort on the projects that will be transitioned to the LGU command. Moreover, they are still to help in finding and creating a system that would ensure the constituents who are the end-user of the projects to efficiently utilize the infrastructures and other related interventions with the aim of alleviating them from the predicament brought about by the siege,” said Gandamra.

“Sana tuloy ang kolaborasyon sapagkat ang aning tanggapan ay bukas sa mga suhestiyon na magpapaimprove sa constituents,” he added.
