MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA) --The Provincial Government through the Provincial Tourism Office spearheaded a tourism photography contest to showcase the rich Meranaw culture and possible tourist spots of Lanao del Sur.
The photo contest seeks is part of the monthlong activities for the 63rd Araw ng Lanao del Sur.
"Yearly na itong ginagawa ng provincial government. Ang aim natin dito is to highlight the ability of our fellow Meranaws to showcase our beloved province that is potential for tourism and maka contribute tayo positively sa society and our economic development," said Provincial Tourism Officer Ahmad Nouraldinn Tamano Jr.

Out of the 65 entries from amateurs and professional photographers, the photo of Jalanie Pangcoga Pacasum emerged as the winner.
The said photo which showed a panoramic view of the newly-built Sarimanok Sports Stadium inside Marawi's ground zero reveals what the city could offer to tourists after the rehabilitation is completed.
"My family is one of the affected families of the Marawi siege and I'm hopeful that Marawi is now rising," explained Pacasum.
During the awarding of winners Tuesday, July 12, the Provincial Tourism Office in partnership with the Provincial Information Office also hosted an on-the-spot mobile photography contest highlighting the Provincial Capitol. (APB/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
