TAMPARAN, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Madrasahs in the municipality of Tamparan in the province of Lanao del Sur showed how joyful and grateful they were after their morits or learners received cow meats through the Qurbani program of the Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW)-Philippines.
Sorayah Doble from Madrasatul Khairiyah Al-Islamia thanked the IRW-Philippines as her madrasa was selected as a beneficiary of the Qurbani program. \She said that although their Islamic school was only small, they still needed the help of potential partners
Ustadha Norma Imam of the Ma’had Darel-Khair Al-Islamie depicted glee as they were involved as recipients of the IRW-Philippines’ aid.
She conveyed that what the organization had provided them was already a big help to their morits.
“Kapag nasasali kami sa mga ganitong activity, masaya kami. Malaking tulong ito sa amin. Salamat sa Islamic Relief sa pagtulong nila sa amin,” said Imam.
[Every time we are selected for this kind of activity, we are happy. This is already a big help to us. Thank you to Islamic Relief for helping us.]
For her part, Halimah Dianaton, an ustadha at the Ma’ahad Salaman Al-Islamie, also cited how important the effort of the IRW-Philippines was.
She mentioned that her institution was really in need of support.
As such, Dianaton was glad to the organization for extending its initiative to them.
“Kung titingnan ang madrasa namin, makikita niyo na kailangang kailangan ng tulong galing sa Islamic Relief… Salamat sa Islamic Relief sa tulong ninyo. Pinakakailangan ng mga madrasa ang tulong ng Islamic Relief,” she said.
[If you take a look at our madrasah, you will see how we need the help of the Islamic Relief… Thank you to Islamic Relief for your help. We really need the help of the Islamic Relief.]
Just like its Ramadan program, the Qurbani program of the IRW-Philippines is a seasonal program that intends to give happiness to vulnerable communities with the handing over of sacrificial cow meats. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
