MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Joining the celebration of the 63rd Araw ng Lanao del Sur which will last until the end of July this year, the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) marked its participation by boosting the health and wellness of the residents of the province.
IPHO Chief Dr. Alinader Minalang shared that for one week, from July 11 to 15, his office packaged relevant efforts such as medical, surgical, dental, and psychosocial services.
“Lahat dito available, especially sa mga kababayan na hindi makaaccess agad sa health facilities natin. Dinala na natin dito. It is like a one-stop shop ng lahat ng mga health service,” he said.
[All of those are available here, especially for our fellowmen who cannot immediately access our health facilities. We already brought it here. It is like a one-stop shop for all health services.]
Accordingly, the IPHO provided free health consultation, hypertension and diabetes screening, medicines, vaccination, and nutrition assessment while the mental aspect involved counseling, haircut, manicure, and pedicure to bring relaxation to constituents.
On the other hand, surgical services included free circumcision and the giving of necessary medicines.
Minalang highlighted that their week-long program has accommodated lots of citizens, and even extended up to those residing in the province of Lanao del Norte as their way of conveying their gratitude for hitting a milestone in their term of being in public service.
He said that through their initiative, they might be able to pursue their goal of delivering health benefits to the people in the province.
“Inaasahan namin na makapagbigay tayo ng mas komprehensibong programa at makabenefit ang ating mga constituents dito sa Lanao del Sur. Sana maging masaya ang lahat,” he said.
[We are expecting to be able to give a comprehensible program and our constituents here in Lanao del Sur will benefit. I hope all of them will be very happy.]
The IPHO chief stressed that during the conduct of their health program, they promoted strict adherence to precautionary measures such as the wearing of face masks, social distancing, and hand washing. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
