MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The Provincial Health Office (PHO) has rolled out a weeklong free medical services for residents of Lanao del Sur in line with the 63d Araw ng Lanao del Sur celebration.
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Princess Elham Sacar said they are offering medical consultations with free medicines for children and adults, dental consultations, tooth extractions, refractive error tests, and free eyeglasses for elders.
"We also have minor surgical operations being conducted but these patients were already screened two weeks ago and passed the screening," she said.
Sacar said the free medical, dental, optical, and minor surgical services will run from July 11-15, 2022 at the Provincial Capitol's Tennis Court.
Residents of Marawi and its nearby municipalities in Lanao del Sur province have availed of the free health services made available by the PHO.
Norhamida Abedin from Brgy. Guimba in Marawi said she came to the Provincial Capitol to avail of the free health check-up and medicines for pregnant women.
Abedin is thankful for the free consultation and medicines they received saying it will lessen their burden on medical check-ups.
"Mapiya sekaniyan ka pakaogop siran sa madakel a taw [this is great because they can help a lot of people], she said.
Meanwhile, the PHO chief is inviting the constituents of the provincial government to come and avail of the free health services. (APB/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
