MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The provincial government opened a weeklong caravan of government services at the Provincial Capitol Monday, July 11, as part of the 63rd Araw ng Lanao del Sur celebration.
The caravan aims to showcase the programs, projects, and activities of various government agencies in the province, as well as, deliver essential government services in one place.
"Gusto namin na mas malapit ang government services [we want government services to be closer] to the people," said Azrifa Mamutuk, the provincial government's focal person for the caravan.
She said 28 line agencies from the national government, the Bangsamoro government, and the provincial government are participating in the caravan.
These include the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), Land Transporation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), National Housing Authority (NHA), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Home Development Mutual Fund (PAG-IBIG), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE), Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE), Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), Ministry of Trade and Investment and Tourism (MTIT), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Ministry of Health (MOH), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), Provincial Health Ofice (PHO), City Treasurer's Office (CTO), and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG).
Also joining them are financial institutions such as the Amanah Bank, Philippine National Bank, and Landbank, as well as agencies offering legal services like Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission, Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Lanao del Sur Chapter, Integrated Shari’ah Bar of the Philippines, and Public Attorney’s Office, among others.
Aside from the government services, the caravan also features a Food Bazarre where food vendors and foodies get together to enjoy varieties of international and local delicacies at very affordable prices while enjoying live musical performances from local talents.
