MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) formed four technical working groups (TWGs) that will focus on the formulation of localized plans related to disaster management.
The four TWGs will lead the crafting of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (LDRRM) plan, Local Climate Change Adaptation (LCCA) plan, Contingency plan, and DRRM Communication plan, respectively.
The creation of TWGs was one of the highlights of the Council's first quarter meeting Tuesday, March 22.
Following its creation, the TWGs is set to convene for a series of planning workshops before the full council's second-quarter meeting slated in June, this year.
Meanwhile, the PDRRMC will also tackle the establishment of a DRRM Information System and Early Warning System in its next meeting. (APB/PIA Lanao del Sur)
