Sec. Eduardo Del Rosario said this is the reason why the national government through the Task Force Bangon Marawi has been constructing barangay complexes in the 24 barangays inside the city's most affected area.
These facilities feature a health center and a madrasah in line with the government's effort of also promoting the formative development of the youth.
"This is a complete package - we have the barangay hall, the madrasah, and the health center. Everything that is needed in a community so that the people will be empowered and the services that they need can be provided by barangay officials and the local government," Del Rosario said.
He also said the establishment of the complexes provides empowerment to the barangays which can also result in the people being empowered and well-informed of the projects and programs of both national and local government.
The TFBM chief led Thursday, March 3, the inauguration of Wawalayan Marinaut and Kapantaran Barangay Complexes, the two latest barangay facilities completed inside the MAA.
Previously inaugurated were the barangay complexes for Tolali, Datu Naga, Datu sa Dansalan, Moncado Kadingilan, West Marinaut, Lilod Madaya, and Raya Madaya 1.
Del Rosario is confident that around 80-90% of the 24 barangay facilities in MAA will be completed in May.
Meanwhile, TFBM is also working closely with the city government for the construction of barangay facilities in the 72 villages outside MAA. (APB/PIA ICIC)
