MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--The five identified geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA) barangays here are thankful for the health equipment they received from World Vision Philippines.
Noraisa Ali, a barangay health worker from Cadayonan 2, expressed gratitude to the organization for the support given to them through the Urban Child Protection Project.
“Ang World Vision malaki ang tulong na nabigay sa aming barangay. Laking pasasalamat namin sa kanila,” she said.
[World Vision has given a lot of help to our barangay. We are very grateful to them.]
She said it will no longer be difficult for the residents to get access to medical services because the health equipment is already available for their barangay.
“Napakalaking tulong itong equipment kasi iyong iba hindi nila afford pumunta sa city hall o Amai Pakpak Medical Center kasi sa barangay meron ng tulong na ibinigay ng World Vision sa aming constituents,” she added.
[This equipment is a huge help because the others cannot afford to go to the city hall or Amai Pakpak Medical Center because in the barangay there is already support provided by World Vision to our constituents.]
The World Vision recently turned over five examination hospital beds, five weighing scales for infants, five Detecto weighing scales, 500 Blood Uric Acid strips, and 500 blood glucose strips to barangays Tuca Ambolong, Rapasun, Cadayonan 1, Cadayonan 2, and Malimono. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Sur)
