MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--The City Schools Division of Marawi  (CSDM) has shown its support to the rollout of the pediatric vaccination for children aged 5-11 years old.

Schools Division Superintendent Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto joined the kickoff of the Kids Resbakuna in the city on Monday, February 21, where she noted the significance of the vaccination in the gradual resumption of face-to-face classes and general welfare of learners.

She shared that two of the three identified priority schools for limited face-to-face classes, the Nanapun Elementary School and Mapandi Elementary School, were already approved to open until March 21.

According to her, after one month of limited face-to-face classes, the education department of the Bangsamoro region together with the Provincial and City Inter-Agency Task Forces will check if the CSDM can proceed to the expansion. "We are looking forward to a very positive decision from the regional office that we will have an expansion to all our public schools and private schools," she added.

The Schools Division Superintendent also lauded the City Health Office (CHO) for finally launching the pediatric vaccination.

"The city government has always been our great partner in the delivery of quality education but among all the units I would say that the CHO is the most active one. We have been partnering in a lot of health programs geared towards the betterment of the learners of Marawi City," she further said. (APB/PIA Lanao del Sur)
