MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--As the local government here finally rolled out the pediatric coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 vaccination covering children aged five to eleven years old, the Bangsamoro government’s Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) satellite office in the city conveyed its solid support to the idea of administering jab for kids.
MILG-Marawi City Director Masbud Gaima II saw the launching of the pediatric inoculation successful and timely as this would prepare the children for their upcoming face-to-face classes.
He said for one to be admitted in an in-person class, full vaccination must be assured as this would help in the protection against the invisible enemy.
“Tayo ay nananawagan sa mga magulang na ipabakuna natin ang ating mga anak para sila ay magkaroon ng resistensya sa sakit na tinatawag na COVID-19… Kami sa MILG, sinusuportahan natin ang initiative sa health ng LGU-Marawi City,” said Gaima.
[We are calling the parents to have their children vaccinated so that they will already have protection against the disease called COVID-19… We, in the MILG, are supporting the LGU-Marawi City’s initiative on health.]
As more medical services are pursued here, the city director commended the local government for its initiative of securing the health of its constituents.
“Very much needed ito ngayon lalo na marami ng mga sakit [These are very much needed, especially that there are a lot of illnesses]… We salute the LGU and the services that are very much needed by our people,” said Gaima. (CRG/PIA-Lanao del Sur)
