MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--Believing that knowledge is the power to unlock a better future ahead, non-government organization Synergeia Foundation intently raised the banner of quality education, especially focused on learners of the city.
Synergeia Foundation Program Officer Halil Bacarat Jr. said the organization targets to achieve a wholesome place for the youth which is conducive for the development of their character.
“We aim to have a country where every child completes a good basic education and is given an equal opportunity to become the best of what he or she can be, to be transformed into how leaders govern, and to empower communities to create a better life for themselves and their children,” he said in the Barangay Education Summit of the City Schools Division of Marawi Wednesday, February 23.
Bacarat said as the foundation lives out a significant role in target communities, it secured the establishment of a good rapport and smooth coordination with its partners to pursue its interventions and projects.
Among the efforts of Synergeia Foundation in educational and governance system are working with policymakers, local leaders, and national and local agencies and institutions; and conducting capacity building for educators and school heads, leadership training for learners, and school governing counseling for barangay leaders all to strengthen policy in schools and highlight the importance of the relationship between academic institutions and the government.
Bacarat further shared that its organization holds an adopt-a-child program in addition to the provided financial and psychosocial assistance to foster children as well as training and livelihood for parents.
With all these initiatives, the foundation assured that it will extend support to the city, specifically in terms of education.
“Rest assured that Synergeia Foundation ay kasama sa pag-agapay sa pagpapalakas, pagpapatibay at pagsecure na madeliver ang [will be an ally in augmenting, strengthening and securing the deliver of] basic quality education… Communities at the grass-root level through private sector partners will be helped to transform how to think, organize, facilitate, mobilize and execute change for improved governance,” said Bacarat.
