MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--In line with the pilot implementation of limited face-to-face (F2F) classes in select low-risk areas in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the Marawi City Schools Division gave an assurance on the safety of participating learners, teaching and non-teaching staff.
"We assure you that we are doing our best to protect primarily the health of your children, our children, our teachers, and everybody para sa ikatatagumpay ng ating [for the success of] face-to-face classes," City Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto said during the Talakayan sa PIA - Lanao del Sur edition Sunday, February 6.
Alonto emphasized that they are following the rules and procedures stated in the Department of Education memorandum circular on the conduct of in-person learning as well as the BARMM's Inter-Ministry Memorandum Circular (IMMC) for the implementation of limited F2F learning modality.
Reiterating that health and safety are paramount for both teachers and learners, Alonto said health and safety protocols, as well as directives from the Provincial and City Inter-Agency Task Force on Covid-19, will be strictly implemented.
"Ngayong pandemic, ang pinakaimportante is our health. No compromise for that. Ang health ng ating mga mag-aaral at mga guro ang pinakaimportante sa lahat," she said.

The SDS also pointed out that F2F learning will be limited to vaccinated teaching personnel.
The limited physical classes in Marawi will start on February 14 (Monday) using a combined implementation of face-to-face classes and modular learning.
The pilot implementation will be done in three schools after passing the school readiness assessment. These are Nanapun Elementary School, Mapandi Elementary School, and Angoyao Central Elementary School. (APB/PIAlanao del Sur)
