Marawi CSWD urges PWDs to register in PH registry

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) here calls on all persons with disabilities (PWD) to register themselves in the Philippine registry.

Accordingly, this is to issue an official identification (ID) card, and will serve as sufficient proof when availing benefits and privileges.

“We are requesting sa ating mga kababayan na mag-apply na sa aming opisina… Dapat registered tayo sa Philippine Registry for PWD talaga. Hindi tayo maggenerate ng ID number kung hindi naka-online,” said CSWD Officer Rismirah Adap.

[We are requesting our fellowmen to apple in our office… We must be registered in our Philippine Registry for PWD. We cannot generate an ID number if not going through online.]

The officer shared that without the provided ID, PWDs are requested to present any other valid ID and a certificate indicating the present disability as confirmed by a physician.

Citing the recent payouts of financial assistance for their registered PWDs, Adap then encouraged the public to notify their office if there are disabled persons within their community as they are one of the priorities of the city government here.

“Nandito tayo para magkalinga at umagapay sa ating PWDs… Importante na macheck sila ng doctor para malaman natin ano ba talaga ang kapansanan ng ating kababayan. Kailangan talaga certified ng doctor kung ano talaga ang kapansanan niya,” she said.
