MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the city expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) and the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) of the Bangsamoro region following the successful payout of their cash assistance for the period July to December 2021.
Norma Paute Romoros, claiming the share of his father who is a PWD, conveyed her delightfulness as she stressed that this was a big help on their part.
“Masaya kami dahil natulungan nila ang PWDs. Iyan ang kaligayahan nilang PWDs. Ito ay para ibili ng gamot at iba pang pangangailangan. Nagpapasalamat kami sa tulong para sa PWDs,” she said.
[We are happy that they were able to help the PWDs. This is the happiness of the PWDs. This is for them to buy their medicines and other needs. We are thankful for the help to PWDs.]
Lisa Guro, who was certified as a PWD, cited that the cash aid is a great assistance, especially since they have to comply with their respective necessities.
“Maganda kasi makakakuha kami ng pera. Salamat sa tulong para sa aming PWDs. Ibibili ko ito ng maintenance ko na gamot. Malaking tulong ito,” she said.
[This is good because we can get money. This is a big help for us PWDs. I will use this to buy my medicines for my maintenance. This is a big help.]
Another PWD Esmail Daud also extended his gratefulness, stating that although the amount they received was not a huge one but still, it was already beneficial.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa CSWD at MSSD. Ipambibili ko ito [financial assistance] ng gamot,” he said.
[I am thankful to the CSWD and the MSSD. I will use this [financial assistance] to buy medicine.]
During the last effort of the CSWD and the MSSD, more than 1,300 PWDs in the city received P3,000 cash aid as apportioned for the second semester of the year 2021. (CRG/PIA-Lanao del Sur)
