MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO) launched here the revitalized KASIMBAYANAN or Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan program on Monday, Sept. 26, to bolster peace and development in the province.
The said community mobilization program puts a premium on the synergized and collaborative partnership between the police, the religious sector, and the general public.
In his message, LDSPPO Provincial Director PCol. Jibin Bongcayao underscored the crucial role of the community in maintaining peace and order and achieving progress in the province.
"Ito ay revitalized collaboration ng kapulisan, simbahan at pamayanan na nakaangkla dun sa pinakamithiin ng kapulisan natin na peace and development. Naniniwala kasi ang kapulisan na ang kaunlaran ay makakamtan kung may tunay na kapayapaan at ang kapayapaan ay makakamtan kung mayroon pagtutulungan at pagsama-sama ng kapulisan, simbahan, at pamayanan," he said.
[This is a revitalized collaboration between the police, the church, and the community anchored in the ideals of our police force, which is peace and development. Because the police believe that development can be achieved if there is true peace and that peace can be achieved if there is cooperation and togetherness between the police, the church, and the community.]

Bongcayao said the program specifically includes the religious leaders seeing their influence in encouraging moral uprightness and lawfulness. "Sila din ang nagbibigay ng [they also provice] moral fibers sa [to] community," he added.
The KASIMBAYANAN launching was highlighted with the pledge of commitment and ceremonial signing of the commitment wall, as well as the pinning of the KASIMBAYANAN pin buttons to police personnel, religious sector representatives, and key stakeholders present.
Meanwhile, Bongcayao said more engagements on the ground will be conducted, especially in the municipalities of the province, to cascade the KASIMBAYANAN.
With the revitalized program, the provincial director hopes that the public would be encouraged to do their part in achieving peace and development in Lanao del Sur. (APB/PIA-10 Lanao del Sur)
